i read somewhere today that the bassist...or maybe it was the guitar player....well anyway, one of the dudes from men without hats (or jobs as lefty was so kind to point out) actually does have a job now. file this one under the where are they now category...he's a cosmetic dentist in canada!!!! ahh rockstardom at its finest. in other great news, it's the weekend! that means no class! yay! the semester's almost over. hoo-rah. not to mention i've had a great night. get this. so i have this friend, right? and she's absolutely gorgeous, but, you know, she's my friend...recently, (get ready for cliches!) i've started thinking about her in a totally different way, and tonight, we went out, we got some coffee at the black sheep (such a great name for a coffee shop), went record shopping (hehehe record shopping rules...in case you want to know, i got the new fat wreck comp, and it's got some great unreleased songs on it, and i got cross my heart's album "temporary contemporary"), we came back to school, went on a walk, came back to my room, listened to cross my heart, and the leonard cohen cd that amanda (that's her name) picked up, had a tickle fight somewhere in between (yay for sexual tension), went out to a party, saw that it was lame, came back to my room, listened to more music (the new cave in, the weakerthan's first album, and the new koufax), and made out like there was no tomorrow under the orange lights i have hanging in my room. i am so content right now. this is a great thing....oh yeah, and, at the beginning of the evening, i watched cannibal the musical...i love that movie....but regardless, i really hope things work out well. i don't really think there's a chance things will get weird, i'm just scared that i might fall (where you may ask? i have no idea), and then she's going to be gone next semester up at the salt center for documentary studies in maine, and i'm going to get heartbroken. let's not let that happen shall we?
