Has anyone ever had one of those jobs where, if you do a good job, you get some meaningless little award printed on some stupid piece of paper. Then, your name is called in a meeting in the auditorium, and you have to act excited and run around the room giving everyone a high five like a special olympian?
Well, I work in that hellhole. They treat you like third graders. You have specified times you can go to the bathroom (unless you bring a note from your Doctor),they force you to work as much mandatory overtime as they need (because they have a very high turnover rate -wonder why?), and everything you do is monitored constantly like a bad scene from George Orwell's 1984. They can tape one of your phone calls, say you did something wrong, write you up for it, and you have to sign a document admitting guilt, based on the PERCEPTION of one single individual who listened to the call. And if you ask to hear the call, they say they've already erased it and you have no choice but to sign the document or be fired.
Here's my rule.......if you want to award me for a job well done, treat me like an adult. If you want to give me an award, print it on one of those little green pieces of paper with numbers and a President's picture. And stop having those stupid high school pep rallies we're forced to go to, where it affects our productivity, which decreases our bonuses, when the only reason we're there in the first place is because the job market in the area really sucks and it's either that or wait tables in some lousy chain restaurant for $2 a fucking hour because all the decent jobs are taken by college students who intern for little or no money because mommy and daddy pay for everything!
Somebody get me the fuck out of this town! Anybody need a good strip club dj/manager?
