Well I heard some cool cover songs today. I guess they had been out for a while but I really don't care all to much about new music, I'm still playing my Strat along with Zero and Today. However I must admit the Deftones did an awesome cover of Weezer"s Say I t Ain't So. They kept it pretty true to the original although I think Chino's vocal range is better the River's. Another song I heard that I really liked was Finch's cover of With Or Without You by U2. The version I heard is very garage sounding but fucking killer. It really had the heart of the song but with a Hum Counting Stars feel to it. It was not as good as the original IMHO but I thought it was really pretty good, and they did their own thing with it and I respect that because that is what a true cover should be. And covering a band like U2 is a brave thing to attempt in the first place. I would really like to hear a cover of Sunday Bloody Sunday--well some band has probably already done that

And on a good note the guy that is driving me nuts at work is going on vacation for 10 days--so maybe there is a fucking God after all. Well I won't go that far.

Again strangely I am actually in a good mood--so I'll leave it at that and have a few beers and then go to bed and start all over again tomorrow. Well peace!!!!
