Today at Goodwill I bought the most awesome childrens keyboard ever. If you see one GET IT. It's a VTECH Little Smart jazz'n jam.
I swear it is far more fun than you think (for a toy, anyways). It has like 30 or 40 synth sounds--some based on real instruments, some based on sound effects. For example, one is a sample of a pig oink.
And the coolest part is that you start a beat and each key can launch different loops--they launch different drum and instrument riffs or melodies or whatever.
With the record on the side you and change the tempo or make scratch effects.
The mic is broken on mine but aparently you can sing into them.
Also, you can record your playing, like a looper and have that playing while you play over the top of it.
There's also this recording of this dude who shouts out stuff like "rockin!" and "groovin". It's sort of annoying, but the unpredictability of it makes it more exciting. At anyways, somethings you can actually fuck around with those recordings and make them stutter and stuff.
