I just found a list of all this old contact information I had made circa 01-03. I thought I had lost all that stuff in the last few years of joining the military and changing computers and residences multiple times.

Obviously most of the people that I really care about, I never really lost touch with them.

The interesting thing is looking up people on myspace and facebook who were always sorta on the periphery of my life; people I had forgot that I had lost. Not all of them are on the web, of course, but many are.

I discovered nothing extremely profound.

One person is about to get married. One is still in NYC. One just moved back to the bay area. One is surprisingly more attractive than I remember her and aparently spent a lot of time in columbia. One is an elementary school teacher. One is a highschool teacher. One has a kid. One is in Argentina. One has only exactly one myspace friend (which is notable considering how attractive and outgoing she is). One may or may not work for Microsoft. One looks like she's in Brooklyn doing strange art films. One is married with a kid and is a teacher (but I'm not sure what kind). One appears to recently have had a birthday and is still in the East Bay.

So what is the moral of all this?

Any of the these people could probably have contacted me if they gave a damn. But they didn't. So fuck em. Then again I didn't remember their names, either.

No, seriously, the moral is: It is easier to stalk people on myspace than it is on facebook, which is easier than linked in.

I didn't even look anybody up on friendster cus who the hell uses that shit?

Also: People who stay in the Bay Area seem to be having more fun than those who leave. Also: I know a lot of teachers.
