I just had a chat with my roommate. Do you know what her new job is? She's got some long title I don't remember but it doesn't matter cus it doesn't really describe what she does. Essentially she's one of the most important people at a magazine with a circulation of almost half a million, and part of a major multinational publishing firm. She's being actively groomed to go even farther in the company. She makes boatloads of money (well, "boatloads" compared to me and most of you, anyways).

I always thought she was like 31 or something. nope. 25. Less than a year older than me.

Now I feel like a loser.

(not really--I really have no aspirations to join that corporate world, but goddamn, it would be nice to have at least a degree or something to show for myself)
