It's a bit early to say for sure, but I beleive I'm beginning to see a light at the end of this tunnel. Successful interview today for a barbacking position at a busy yuppie restaurant. I get an unpaid try-out on wednesday and if I do well (and quite confident I will) then I have the job.
I'll be working two jobs and still not making a ton of money but a bar-back position now means a bartending position later which is just the thing I want.
Plus there's a certain added benefit that I'll be able to wave to Sadie on my way to work every day (assuming she still works at that one place)
