So, the NewBoy apologized for being insensitive, and things actually settled out as best as they possibly could. I thought that was going to be a lot worse than it was, but we're all good now. Works out because I was pissed at the idea that I was going to miss out on having a "best friend" at work, and now I won't miss out! I win!

Less of a win is the fact that my girlfriend can't get financial aid to pay for out-of-state tuition, and has to leave CA to go back to FL. Boo. I'm so bummed. We've only known each other for a few months, but I spent the whole summer with her, and will miss her terribly. Also, muse43 is moving to Sweden in march. I understand because her boyfriend is the best guy she's ever dated (by leaps and bounds), but she's been my best friend for a decade, and I'm devastated that I'll see even less of her than I have lately. We went out last night and had a ton of fun. Only pictures are from a polariod, so here's an old pic of us:



What's the nicest thing you've said to someone or they've said to you lately?

- I told my best friend that I'm proud to be her friend because I've always loved her, but in the past few years she's matured and really grown into someone I respect as a person.
- The other day, Volkov told me "if your heart were any bigger, I don't know how you'd even breathe, lady", and it was the nicest thing anyone has said about me in ages.
