Well. The past couple days have been up and down, but mostly up.
The new job is working out well, and I really like it. The other day, I told my manager that I will be available whenever she wants me as long as I can have a week or two of notice.
I hope I can get plenty of shifts that way, though I secretly still want to work at the old place. It's not nearly enough money for the hassle, but I usually have a good time. However, last night my boss was stressed and riding my ass about stupid shit. He used to let us work without a tie in the lounge, but yesterday he got all over my case about it, and I shot back with "the Wednesday girl shows her buttcrack and wears a t-shirt, and I have to wear a tie?" (I had a freshly ironed button-down blouse). I was so pissed. I wanted to telll him to fire me if I don't do a good job, but I feel bad because he's firing two other girls who are giving him problems. I was just upset because I re-injured my knee, and had shown up for work in a knee brace rather than let my boss down. It's not like I'm not a team player.
Anyhoo, the knee injury is bothering me, but otherwise I'm feeling pretty good. Overwhelmed by how much I need to do before I move, though.
I am pretty pissed about Prom being changed like that. The refund on the tickets isn't what I'm worried about, but the refund on the hotel room may be tougher to get, and I am really upset that I asked for time off from my new job, and now I don't need it. It just makes me look bad. I'm definitely not requesting off for the Vegas event unless it's way in the future. But I may still keep my anti-Prom weekend open to go drink and party with you kids, so don't count me out!
