Viz comic is a bit of an institution here in the UK. It was started as a fanzine by two brothers from Newcastle Upon Tyne, in the North East of England. It was coarse, crude, violent, and most important of all, extremely funny. I have been reading it since the 1980's, and I still read it - and it is still funny. One of their  funniest items are their mock adverts for generally dreadful rubbish, or surreal items that you couldn't buy even if you wanted to. Personal ads for awful people, are another favourite topic, but this one is different. It shows the truth about Viz comic, and the reason I still enjoy reading it. It's an outwardly stupid comic, created by very intelligent people - it always has been, and is the reason that it's smutty imitators fell by the wayside very quickly. It's still rude, crass, and violent, but with an intelligent edge. The above advert blew my mind when I read it, simply because the details are correct, and there could have only been a few people that would get the joke. To put it in context, it's a bit like Neil DeGrasse Tyson turning up on 'Sesame Street' talking to Bert and Ernie about Einstein-Rosen Bridges or Superstring theory. My brother sent this to me, and it still made me laugh at it's incongruity.

I put off getting a cell for years. When my mum's cancer became terminal, it was essential I had one. If I had to have one, I'd have the most expensive available; the Motarola V3 RAZR. And yes, it's design is based on the 1960's Star Trek™ (I love that ™ mark) communicator. I'll be getting it up and running again, I love it that much.

I remember that cell phone model... My father had one it

And some of you will say that the likenesses are not that accurate - but the whole thinking behind these Funko 3.75 inch figures is that they are like the original Star Wars figures, which weren't that detailed and had simplified faces, which mattered not one jot, as your imagination filled in the gaps. These are just wonderful, and I can see myself getting more.

...And now Funko have shown 'Hellboy' figures in this scale, too. Guess what? Yup. I'm having them.

If you look in the rear window, you can see the monstrous hand that is emerging from the coffin within. Yes, really. This led to complaints from parents who said that it was distasteful - and these are parents who had bought their kids a toy hearse... Go figure. Personally, I think that it's fucking awesome. 👍💀💀💀👿👿👿
