A favourite show of mine, even to this day. Initially made as a children's show, but there are episodes that are still bloody terrifying. But hey, this was the 1970's, and kids were tougher then.π

"What? the curtains?" Sorry, could not resist. The dim prince from 'Monty Python And The Holy Grail' has always been a favourite of mine. That's what I was thinking of when I put the picture up. Oh, if you were wondering, I'm wearing a band line-up shirt from redmolotov.com: it's for possibly the best line up of the punk band The Damned, circa 1979: Vanian & Sensible & Scabies & Ward. As I write this, I'm wearing the classic line up of the punk band Buzzcocks ( no 'the'): Shelley & Maher & Diggle & Garvey. Band line up lists are a very blokey thing - it's not something you will hear women talking about much. Men do seem to enjoy compiling lists of things. Here's my list of top ten lists: No, I'm just fucking with you. But later... Maybe later.π

Tollemache and Cobbold, generally known as 'Tolly Cobbold'. Brewers of fine seasonal beers and ales. Beer fans in Ipswich would always look forward to winter, when Tolly's 'Cobnut' appeared. A delicious, strong dark beer, that was scarily moreish. Trouble was, when it was gone, that was it until next year. Luckily, we still have Greene King brewery in Bury St. Edmunds, whose IPA. (India Pale Ale) is sublime, and best of all, Adnams, of Southwold, on the Suffolk coast. Any Adnams beer is worth your while, but 'Regatta', and 'Ghost Ship' are quite ridiculously good. I like visiting the 'Lord Nelson' pub, near Ipswich docks, an Adnams pub, where the beer is dispensed, as it should be, from kegs, using no help other than gravity. Thisty now. ππΊπ

The smaller building on the left is 'The Brewery Tap'. It was an attached pub from which you could get a pint, and then have a tour of the brewery to see where that pint had come from. Sadly not the case now. Still a pub, but not a Tolly pub. Tolly Cobbold went bust in the late 1980's, was rescued, but died slowly before the millennium.

Halfway through August, and a proper summer day. Warm, nice breeze, air smells fresh. I'm working, but on a day like this, it doesn't matter. ππ

When I read an encyclopaedia or similar kind of book, I don't 'dip in'. I start at A, and continue right through to Z. Anybody else do this? Or am I weird?
