Alright, LA: Been there, done that.

Actually, a really great time. I'll post some pics when I'm not so fried. But we hit the Farmer's Market, Santa Monica, the Chinese and Kodak Theaters, and Beverly Hills. Lunch of pastrami lox - mmmm-hmmmmm! No celebrities, but then, no earthquakes. The GF did kill her laptop, though, and had to buy a new one. Good thing we're,...

I don't feel threatened by the bigot in GA, I just think it is sad that there are people out there like that!

You are too funny, speaking of silicon... When we went to LA in High school, we never saw any stars. Then on our trip back my sister and I walked past Jerry Hall in the Texas airport. Go figure!

kisses
and glad you are home safely,

Ah, 4th of July in small town America, where the new NOW chapter marches past the pipe and coin shop supposedly owned by a Klansman....

The GF was officially boycotting the holiday - it's hard to really feel like celebrating what this country stands for right now. But we happened to stumble on the parade on the way uptown for lunch. I'm a sucker for...

Right on my man!

I love your journal.

We watched fire works on the dock at the house we are on the sound.

Our car has a Why04 sticker on it which gets mixed reviews around NC.... go figure!

We could use you down here....

Well, we've done our yard sale duty - no old biddies today, yeknomyknuf, so a much more mellow experience. All told, about $125 (now I realize I should have put the faux latex catsuit on eBay and let y'all have at it!).

We'll spend the rest of the ill-gotten gains on sushi before seeing Garrison Keillor in Columbia, MO tonight.

And that's the news...

Another day at the yard sale - made about the same amount, but also sold stuff for a bunch of our medical student friends who all have their residencies and are heading out to sunnier climes. So we spent that money on lunch and drinks.

But, I tells ya - yard sale people in small town is CRAZY. Old biddies start poking around the house...

Yeah, those old biddies are everywhere. It's like in the South Park episode where the parents couldn't win the war against the old people because nobody under 60 wants to get up that early tongue I 'm glad you guys argued with em, that's what yard sales are all about, cursing at old cheap bastards then dropping the price back down when some college kids drop by whatever hehe

Total for the yard sale: $34.

We slept through all the die-hards, so we'll try again next weekend.

Still, we went ahead and spent all the cash at the water park.
