Another day at the yard sale - made about the same amount, but also sold stuff for a bunch of our medical student friends who all have their residencies and are heading out to sunnier climes. So we spent that money on lunch and drinks.

But, I tells ya - yard sale people in small town is CRAZY. Old biddies start poking around the house at 6:30 in the a.m. We had a bunch of books out for $.25 (anyone else notice that the cent sign is gone from the keyboard?) but then learned that everyone raids yard sales to put books on Ebay. Me, I don't care, but the gals did not like this and so jacked the price up to buck. The biddies, in turn, did not like this, and argued vociferously that a book is "always" a quarter at a yard sale. After that crowd left, the price dropped back down.

I didn't sell my queen mattress, my coffee pot, and other trappings of my life before I lived with a woman and her three kids. I did sell my George Foreman grill, and, from an entirely different time of my life, my Gorilla bass amp from when I was in a band in high school. Our name?

"CAUTION: STRANGE BABIES"

I still think thaT name rocks -- more than we did, perhaps! We had a baby symbol, in fact, that looked a lot like this:

Yeah, those old biddies are everywhere. It's like in the South Park episode where the parents couldn't win the war against the old people because nobody under 60 wants to get up that early tongue I 'm glad you guys argued with em, that's what yard sales are all about, cursing at old cheap bastards then dropping the price back down when some college kids drop by whatever hehe
