I still haven't built the new PC for doing my music and art etc on. I had the money saved but used it for my new Samsung 26" LCD HDTV Monitor and Samsung HDMI Dvd player. So, with the paycheck this friday ill have half the money back saved. So, in a month I should have the money...about $2100 total for the parts. (off newegg.com) Of course I have changed a few things ill buy for it, which added a bit more money to the pile, upgraded more since new things have come out in the past 4 months. Being able to save $1000 month is nice!! 
Its going to be crazy going from a AMD Semperon 2800+ up to a AMD Athlon 64 4200+ 1ghz dual processor. Ill upgrade this PC to an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ too I suppose. This PC will be the net PC and downloading PC, the new one with be music, art, and gaming.
As soon as the PC is built I'm diving in to music face first. Ive not written anything in along time since my current PC doesn't do midi well and only has the on-board sound. Ive now got all the expensive programs for keyboarding and recording and sound files etc, so its going to be spectacular music coming soon. Prob should take my guitar in and have the pots fixed first though. Gotta buy a bass too. Ill be doing all music, recording, etc myself...like I have been for years.
You never know, someday you might here my music in a game or soundtrack score. And hell, my metal and goth is sure to do well. Time will tell.
