as perhaps you can tell from my new icon up above, I am happy as fuck that I get to see Nightmare Before Christmas on the big screen. I missed the chance when I was a kid because my parents didn't want me seeing such a dark movie. When I finally got around to seeing it, I loved it. I literally went to my parents, held the DVD up and said "Why did you not let me see this as a child. Its exactly like the Rankin-Bass (Rudolph, Frosty) shows you show me every friggin Christmas, this one just has a bit of a twist." My parents, being the uber-christians they are, (and make no mistake, I love them to death) said it was because of the Halloween element, because its an evil holiday, to which I responded by dressing up for Halloween that year and said to them: "I like it. It's fun, and oh, I don't worship satan....so, no harm no foul..." and then i went out and passed out candy to some kids I knew in the neighborhood.

So tommorow (today actually) I am going to see it before my first day of work at the Regal Cinema in Landmark Center.

Yeah. I am currently listening to the original soundtrack to nightmare, preparing for one hell of a day tommorow, and just relaxing in my last few moments of work-free freedom.
