I'm less pissed today, but i'm feeling a bit stunted creatively... this unemployment thing is getting to me... mostly because there's too much free time in the day to keep my mind in busy.. even though today I spent like 6 hours working on the typography treatment for my Girls in Hoodies book. Yes the last girl STILL isn't shot yet and in my mind I won't be able to fully switch gears to the designing aspect of it until that's done. The picture layout for the majority of the pages is mostly done and with the way it's coming out I'm pretty pleased with it, but I just have to give it the extra oomph it needs to separate with the rest of the photo books out there that most photographers self publish on a print-on-demand site. I'm no slouch when it comes to graphic design, but generally i do crazy display fonts with a 'rock' twist thats a bit darker and unrefined, however with this book that's not going to work and type-treatment is just one part of the whole graphic design thing I never really got the hang of. I started doing graphic design and photography at the same time because the need for control was in my mind but it turns out i'm a much better photographer and photo-editor than graphic designer, so I focused heavily on that route instead. Anyway I kinda feel stuck at this and it's annoying I can't work it out and finish it and send the book off to print so I can switch gears and start focusing on my upcoming SG sets...

Looking at that list it's like wow... I seem to have come quite a far way in just over a year
and a few others are in the works, gotta hammer out details, as well I just need to settle down and start commiting myself to focusing on them.. also did you know a good amount of hopefuls don't know they gotta shoot newd??? Like seriously read the damn FAQ girls. heh.

I think another reason why I'm so irritable lately is because I haven't been shooting, and my mind is getting a bit... bored? I think my camera has been sitting on the floor for 3 weeks.

Anyway.. had a cool time in SF today with Saint Doxie and Atomicant we went to the California Academy of Sciences. I was there a month ago but got there too late to see some of the exhibits, but i did take some "Interpol" like photos



Ah i don't really know why I posted a blog, I think I just felt like typing shit.
