I seriously ended up being on holiday, in Italy.
Today a friend took me to his childhood swimming pool, which is a very old river that dug into the mountains, and ended up building a place with many small pools and rapids. The deeper spots seem to go 2-5m deep and are of deep blue/green colour.
He said he was full of pity when he grew up, moved away and found out other people don't grow up with a place like this.

Besides that I pretty much failed today.
All day I'd been waiting for a "yes/no/try again" from a girl I met here, and who I liked quite a lot... To a point where just talking to her got me horny. Which is - uh - not a common thing to happen for me. Like... never?
Anyway met her and asked and... in hindsight: she might have said "couldn't get the evening off on short notice" while I heard "not interested". Language barrier hit me hard. Tomorrow I'm leaving this town for my hotel in Abano Terme for a week.
I'm quite curious if I can fix this fuckup before I leave. Otherwise it'll be a lesson in listening carefully, or registering they still smile at me, instead of assuming someone just has very polite ways of saying no. Probably a lesson I have to learn some time. I just try to stay on the polite side. Even though my friend had told me to just be "like an italian dickhead and not behave at all".

Besides that (did I already say horny? Ah yes I did!) - I've looked at Udine (super beautiful) and Pordenone (you need to find the beautiful spots) and some mountains and the best thing is that my train tomorrow goes via Venice. Which will be so full of tourist's Im not sure if I should even exit and look. BUT.
And the best thing is that I've really gotten off the hook as far as work goes. A bit here and there but generally it was silent.
Now, more pool time, cocktails and some massages ahead. It should be fine!
(I dimly remember the point was to have some closure on old things, but TBH I've mostly been sleeping as much as I can, all my reserves had been used up since months...)
