I've found someone interesting. (Background: "interesting" for me is roughly equivalent to "hot" for most people) She's rather quiet, very sweet, somewhat romantic and very weird. I like being with her. We have a tendency to end up on my couch, with one of us holding the other. I'm more open with her about my thoughts than I have been with anyone (other than my best friend/brother) in a very long time. I asked her to sleep with me last night, and she said no, as she likes to take that sort of thing slowly. It's strange, but I don't mind -- part of me (above the waist) is perfectly content to wait. Not "waiting for marriage" or some such silliness, but until the time is right.

This martial arts class I'm taking is going to be better for me than I originally expected. They accept as given that I'm a total novice, and that I'm out of shape. They support me, as a group, when I try to push myself that little bit harder. It's a nice feeling.
