Wow @bel_automne i’m sorry to hear about your friend. That’s hard. I’ve lost about 3 peers now overall, it just gets worse from now on age wise. Getting old doesn’t seem so appealing to me, but we all want that full life. I’d be ok to checkout i think, i’ve lived a full one. But i’d like to see my boy grow up before i do. I hope for that. We just never know what’s gonna happen.

@thaecos @felicity thanks ladies. @thaecos there is definitely a problem between my boss and myself. But he’s done nothing but disrespect me and fail to support me all 20 mos i’ve been there. He made up an interesting story to put me in a very weak position. It is hard not to take it personally, meaning every boss i’ve ever had liked and supported me at least a little in my role. This guy is just so insecure and afraid for his own position, i am dangerous to him and he is always in defensive communication mode. I’ve been tolerating the behavior for too long. I can keep doing what i’m doing and just report to someone else. The president, who also feels threatened by my presence? He might be open to this idea. Him and i meet next week. So i can start looking for a new job. It will take time to figure out what i might want to do next. I still love this company, and i make excuses for the leaders all the time. All people have both strengths and weaknesses. They just don’t want help from me to correct their business problems. But we are actually aligned for the very first time on one point. They do want me doing what i’m doing. They just don’t want to give me credit for my achievements.

Thanks @thaecos the day of was nothing special other than tons of love from friends on facebook. But i got to see some old friends in chicago and they helped me celebrate! And mireya and i will have a party here too for the locals in a few weeks. 50 is not so bad except for losing people around you more frequently. If only we could all age gracefully! The ride is worth it!
