damn_pretty

Last night I was going to hang out with my friend Matt, he leaves me a message on yahoo that his phone is messed up and can't call me. I'm gone so I dont get the message until hes offline now. My best friend is sleeping. Ann is working. Manolo left work before I got out of uniform so I could see if he still wanted to get a beer. And Heidi was camping in the woods. And the other 208484390x people I could think of were either, not answering their phone, at work, gone for the weekend, or just busy with something else. SO I went shopping, retail therapy always cheers me up. I needed new work pants my ones are so bad they are getting holes in them. So I got new cargos at old navy, and got grown up pants - yes that's right, I may be a total fucking slob but I do dress like a grown up every once in a while. So grown up pants, they are so cute. And I even got a new grown up shirt to go with it. I heart my grown up outfit. After all that.. I went to bed. Now, that really makes me happy!

AND, I got the cutest comment from my friend on LJ. It was so damn cute that I want to print it out, fold it up and carry it around in my pocket everywhere I go.
In her journal she had posted a ' What I think of my friends ' kind of thing and she said anybody who wants to know ask. And this is the reply she gave me when I asked.

you are going to be one of the harder people i do because, well, lately, your entries, the only medium that i know you, have mostly been about boys and relationship stuff. i am smart enough to know that you dont define yourself in terms of a relationsip, but that has been the only side that been presented lately. i know boys are stupid, and we will bever figure them out, but i would like to know other things that are going on with you.

i am very impressed that you worked your butt off to get out of debt. most people our age think it is of no consequence to accrue high interest debts, but you are very future-oriented. and i applaud that.

you are family-oriented, and caring. i think your caring is why you want to pursue the career you do. i mean, writer, journalist, social worker...they all advocate for the things they care about. and they also wish to have an impact on their community.

your journal is entertaining, and i love when you post pictures....i still remember when you posted your ebay louis vuitton! "
