I think I spent WAAAAAAYY too much money today..just on movies alone!!!!
My adventure today first brought me to the local Texaco here. Now, I don't know about anyone else, but do you think $5.15 is just a tad big too HIGH for a pack of Camel Light 99's?
I then wandered down to the Fred Meyer's, and went directly to their home electronics department. I was looking for the new Fozzy CD that came out on Tuesday, but to my chagrin (I even said, "FUCK," very audibly in the store), they did not have it. So, I found Detroit Rock City (on DVD), and for some odd reason, The Best of Van Halen Vol. 1 on CD....The real reason I had to go to Fred Meyer's? To get a $38 money order for a computer case I won on E-Bay.....
My magical journey then lands me to Hollywood Video #1. This place does not do rentals, they only sell previously viewed movies. I do much looking around, looking for more of the Halloween series to add to my collection, either on VHS or DVD, but do not find any. I am getting very disturbed at this point, so I check out the "Buy 5 for $10" area. WOW!!! I ended up walking out of there with: Voodoo Academy, Knockout (a chick boxing movie), Being John Malkovich, Pep Squad (the box said "dark comedy" and it was right!! Excellent movie), and Dracula 2000. I also bought WWF Royal Rumble 2000, and Girlfight on DVD (I've heard many good reviews on this one, so I thought I would buy it).
My journey then takes me to Hollywood Video #2, which is down the street. As soon as I walked in to the place, the security gates are beeping. The damn fools at the other store did not demagnatize them. I told the clerk that, and some fucking jackass said, "Sure, I saw you walking out with those movies..." trying to be funny...I just looked at him, and his kid, rolled my eyes into the back of his head, and flipped them both off....the kid started to scream, and the guy looked a little pale after that....
My quest to find more Halloween series movies paid off finally, as I found Halloween H20 (to replace the one my dear old dad sold at a garage sale....), and Halloween 6 (The Curse of Michael Meyers). I also picked up this B-movie called "Vice Girls" which looked kind of interesting, plus it was only $1.99.
Tomorrow, I go golfing with my father. One of our "Father/Son Bonding Experiences." And believe me, there will be a few stories coming out of that experience......I just know it.
Until next time, peace, be good humans, eat, drink, be merry, and what the hell, Rock and roll all night and party every day!
