Everyone I know was unhurt in the quakes -- that's not to say there wasn't damage. I just got back from the Big Island, helping a friend rebuild his lo'i kalo...most of the stone terrace wals were damaged. Little harm to the kalo though -- he had used plastic tarps to keep the lo'i flooded. I'll have to remember...

Actually, I like this mouse much better than the old one. This mouse isn't stinky and doesn't piss all over the place like the first mouse. Too bad he's still snake food.

I should point out again that farming is REALLY HARD WORK.

But I am loving it and we will be ready to open an education center about the lo'i kalo probably sometime next year.

It's a good life. :-)
