Today I went to the Mid Ohio Comic Con. This was my first ever comic convention. I had a good time. I was hoping for more of the cool stuff that I have seen from other cons, but I guess no one cares about poor little Ohio. Next year I will make sure to bring a lot of money. I would like to have gotten autographs from some of the famous guests. I got to stand next to James Marsters (Spike, Braniac, Piccolo) as he was leaving, and I was a few feet from Walter Koenig (Chekov) and Billy Dee Williams. My friend did get Gil Gerard's autograph (Buck Rogers) so I got to meet him. Sadly I did not take very many pictures and since I was hanging with a few friends I never got to meet anyone at the Suicide Girls table (sorry, I suck
). However, I did buy a few things. Greg Horn, an artist that has done a lot of comic covers that I love, was there and I bought a few prints that he ended up signing. The guy who did the Marvel Zombies covers was also there, but I was a never a big fan of Marvel Zombies (please don't hate me). Here are the two prints that I bought:

I was torn with the Batman print. I ended up getting this one just because it looked nuts. I'm not sure if Batman is hopped up on Scarecrow gas or what, but he look crazy and I love how some of the villains are drawn. The Sinestro Corps Scarecrow was a no brainer. I walked by and it just caught my eye. I had to have it. It's very detailed and if you look closely around the ring, the energy spells FEAR. Really cool.
I also ended up buying a Green Lantern ring. I never like how the GL rings look, but this one is very different and it was love at first site. This is the first ring that fits and that I am wearing since I lost my class ring back in 2000. I can't take my eyes off of it when I wear it. The pics aren't that great because my camera has trouble focusing that close to the ring.

Later tonight my friends and I are going to head to Mikey's Late Night Slice to try the Gotham City Massacre pizza and then head to The Gateway for The Walking Dead at 9 and then go see Tucker and Dale vs Evil afterwards. With my Browns winning, the comic con, and seeing what should be an awesome movie, this Sunday is turning out to be a great day.

Glad you had a good time. I haven't been to a Comic Con, but I totally want to go to one next year. They always look like so much fun. I'm sure you really meet some interesting people there.
