there is no joy as sweet as seeing your new hardware successfully POST and display a gig of ram on the memory test.
now i just have to get a new copy of windows installed - turns out winxp really, really doesn't like booting after you switch out every single piece of hardware that it ran with last time you started it. if you know me and you live in vancouver, now is the time to magically show up on my doorstep with a copy of xp pro... i can't find mine.
in other news The Last Light of the Sun was sitting there, all paperbacked and such, in Chapters today. i had no choice but to buy it. a Guy Gavriel Kay novel about vikings... guaranteed winner.
as for why i was in Chapters in the first place, i got a gift certificate from work for finding the most badass bug during the last round of testing for the 4.0 release of our product. at this point, were i in game, i'd expect Scop to make the words "hack the planet!" show up on my screen in huge red letters. because hey, it's the right thing to do... i don't know.
anyways, back to hunting for my missing OS.

Better? Maybe I just argue that for its own sake, but it's damn good and not like any other samurai - western - epic you'll read anytime soon.
I wish I knew something about computers so I could make some kinda reply to that entry.
