dan found a radio station that plays only video game themes this morning. i'm presently rocking gently to the main theme from Chrono Trigger... oh the memories.
the weekend was a shining success, despite the fact that the car didn't come through for Posh and Malloreigh. the guy who was going to lend us his '74 Charger has a rather sick uncle, so it's not like he just flaked. poor uncle.
as consolation awesomeness Leningrad and the aforementioned M came over saturday night for some Gamecube-based carousing. when i first saw Mario Kart Double-Dash, i thought hey, how much better can it be? the answer to that is "so damn much". once we got balanced teams figured out for 2 on 2 matches, it was supremely fun. the girls retired to the porch and after getting my ass kicked at Super Monkey Bowling for a bit, i made the mistake of showing Leningrad Red Dead Revolver. you wouldn't suspect it by looking at him, but he's a cold blooded murderer... our showdowns usually ended up with me making a gurgling noise as blood from my hideous neck wound slowly seeped into the dirt.
yesterday was a pretty decent recovery day. most of the day was lost to reading the source book for Exalted. at first Posh tried to hide the book from me... but i think she was really hiding it from herself. she knew what it would do to her. at this very moment she's sitting in her office with the Exalted book beside her on her desk... at work. the best part is that one of our bosses is an old school roleplayer and got all excited when he saw the book. our company rules.
anyways, back to work. i have to configure a stupid, STUPID phpnuke install for some reason. shoot me now.
