yesterday and a few minutes of this morning were a (not very) fun little trip back to the mid 90's. i got to find and replace broken links and images through the files for a site made entirely with dreamweaver. not that i'm seriously complaining... my job is usually rad, and the task was easy, but dear god the time warp. is this really how i did things 8 years ago? changing each static file to reflect changes across the entire site... it's barbaric.

on the rad tech side of things: rfb showed me how to mix cygwin and ssh forwarding to mirror X process onto my desktop. it's insane. i type xclock into my shell and the goddamn thing shows up as a window and process on my machine. it boggles my mind. it's not just a terminal window, the thing is actually running on the server and my own cpu and using my server's filesystem. it's nutty.

anyways. less geekiness... i shot a set for Posh last night. it looks good considering my lack of experience with shooting people. it's a considerably different experience than my usual photographic fare of heavy machinery, mountains, and appartment buildings. hopefully it'll get accepted and everything will be awesome and it'll be like "photographer: d20" woo go me etc.

hey, at least the pay is good...
