So I was kind of sad to be missing SG for the weekend. Right now I'm taking a glance at the new site - and I must say, it really seems hard to use!
First main thing I'm missing: Overview. Everything has been enlarged such that you would only see a tiny little amount of content.
Second thing: Enlarging photos. How do you view the larger pictures now? Clicking on the thumbnails just reloads the page.
Third: Almost any key opens up the search tools, so I cannot use my keyboard anymore to move around the page. I would have to use the scrollbar on the right on laptop devices.
Last but not least: The distorted logo on the top really looks crappy! :(
So... did anyone actually take a look at the website before it went online? Can I somewhere switch back to the old (and oddly working) layout? It does come with quite a couple of features that may be nice on mobile devices - swiping, less content per screen etc. - but it's aweful for desktop use. Period. :(
