Have a safe 4th of July fellow American SG dears, if you do indeed celebrate. I will be celebrating on Tuesday at a family member's house. It's the first time we haven't had a party at my gram's house aka my house. I'm going to try next year, I certainly have enough space! Nobody really acknowledges the holiday for what it actually is anymore, it's only recognized as a day to blow up fireworks best made in a foreign country, consume mass quantities of food and alcohol, and scare the shit out of our pets. On that note here, I find The Oatmeal sums it up pretty well...

My dog ran off one year on the fourth. I told my husband to put him in the house but he didn't so my dog jumped fence. Luckily someone was kind enough to hold onto him until we got home that night since we were out of town. Now we take him with us. I absolutely hate people on this holiday. No one ever cleans up their fireworks mess. Like are you fucking kidding? Anyway, I'm just an old ass lmao! HAPPY 4TH!!!
