Update on my dog

My oldest cat is having similar issues, and is on special food. It's made a huge difference in his bloodwork, so I hope you're pup does okay too

It does make a huge difference, it can give them an extra few healthy years with the diet. It's amazing how food can have such an impact on longevity, much like humans. Glad to hear your kitty is doing well 😁 @nebula

@chefdaddy I usually don't like or get hand massages, but I was handling a 160lb dog and between today and tomorrow I will be doing a lot of work with my hands and back. My SO is too light, plus his hands aren't great either so they cramp up with how hard I like massages, it's not fair to make him hurt for my comfort. I'd gladly massage his hands in return though.

Hmmmm, never heard of giving a hand massage.  I've been told I give outstanding foot massages.  I suppose the approach wouldn't be all that different.

So, I was a functioning member of society today. Worked until 2. Did an ultrasound on a 160lb great dane [the one I posted a picture of not long ago], sedated thankfully. Unfortunately that meant he had to be dead-lifted and carried. Holding him in position was awkward and heavy. My bad shoulder hurts now 🤕. Still, was a decent day at work.

I can relate to your comment about "daily reminders".  My wife died a little over three years ago.  After 27 years of building our life together, her stuff is integral with my stuff.  Those reminders can't be separated (and I would not want them to be).  I had resisted anti-depression meds for a very long time.  Of course, everyone must make their own decisions.  I have been taking them for 20 years now and wish I had begun them sooner.
