'Some of my friends don't know who they belong to
Some can't get a single thing to work inside'

- Gram Parsons, 'A Song for You'

I've had some crazy dreams lately:
Wednesday night i dream a colleague from work loses an arm in some sort of industrial accident. When I tell her people are talking about it behind her back, she bursts into tears.

Thursday night, I dream I'm at some convention in Paris when two representatives from my mobile phone network come by in a Smart Roadster to give me my phone bill in person. When they tell me how much it is, I tell them it's 'fucking ridiculous' and storm off! tongue

Friday night I dream a whole new Charlie Kaufman/Spike Jonze movie that is so convoluted it requires a sentence summary of each character's trajectory in the end credits. (Don't ask me what it was about: I can't remember. This isn't the first time I've dreamt a whole movie).

So I'm down at my parents' place looking after the house/garden while they're away in Spain.
On the train down here I was sat opposite this couple, he in his mid-30s, she in her mid-40s, I couldn't work out whether they had just met or whether they worked together, but they were buying each other drinks and flirting up a storm and I noticed how her leg kept getting closer to his until it was pressed up against it. Reminded me of my little story that is available for your reading pleasure on the pages of the Erotica group... I hope, for their sake, they ended up in bed together that night... wink

Then, funnily enough, once I arrived I watched on TV a movie called One Night Stand which features very sober, serious, cast-against-type performance from Wesley Snipes and Robert Downey Jr as a man dying of AIDS who delivers the line: 'Life is short. The tree huggers were right: this isn't a rehearsal'.

Since then, been mainly reading Nietzsche (Zarathustra - and, having just tried and failed to explain it to sugarmama, I'm not gonna try again) and watching nineties Clint Eastwood movies on video. I watched Unforgiven and marvelled at its ruthlessness. I watched The Bridges of Madison County and cried like a little girl; and cried like a grown woman...

'Insanity is smashing
Up against my soul
You could say I was on anything
But a roll'

- Bob Dylan, 'Highlands'

Yeah, if I had it all to do over again, I might get it done where I have the sun. However, since that spot is taken, I have to find a new one. The advice about finding my center is a good one. Thanks! I will let you know how it turns out!

I did read the previous comment, and I will definitely have to check out that writer.

Paint = icky
Paint = grumpy weasel
Paint = paw prints
Paint = amusement

Weasels may never soar, but at least they do not get sucked in to plane engines.
