Although a great movie and story, a lot of people really only enjoy it for just the story, which I suppose is fine. I think that it's a great book by Palahniuk and a great film by Fincher, and in both mediums it really showed the reader/audience just how unimportant shit is. How being alive is more than just the act of collecting things to tell the tale. How the only things that really live and mean anything are the ones you can feel, whether it be a crazy girl or an underground fight club, and without a balance between the physical and the mental, you kind of lose your shit. Well, that's what I took from it, anyways. (:
