Had some nice chats with some sg members tonite. It was nice to let your hair down so to speak and find out more behind the faces and journals. One of them had me worried because she seemed to fall off the face of the earth, but now I know she is well. The other makes me smile and always comments on my journals, good or bad.
On a brighter note had breakfast at the bar, won enough to pay for breakfast and a nice tip and went to the salt mine. I had planned to leave early, you can do that when you are the only employee, and go to the supermarket. I hear they have food there that you have to cook, it has been a long time since I have been tempted to do that. I am on Atkins for a week and bought a George Forskin er Forman grill to make dinners and need to get something to cook in it. Also going to haul out the old crock pot and make some soups, love home made chicken soup, can eat it all day long. In the past week no bread, potatoes, rice, sugar, ice cream or chocolate. I went on Atkins years ago and lost a lot of weight, but had terrible headaches when I went cold turkey from sugar. This time nothing, and no cravings. Went to an Italian place for dinner while my clothes were in the dryer and ate well without any bread or pasta. I didn't miss it but I am still trying to get used to the green califlower (can't say the b word) instead of the pasta, but will endure. IN some respects this is like being sober, I will take the diet one day at a time, each day hopefully getting closer to my goal. The only time I will go off it will be for part of one day, my birthday to celebrate, but that is 3 weeks away.
