Yeah, ...Crikey. I got it for like $350 on sale from an original price of like $1300!!! Isn't that the most ridiculous steal you've heard of? My dad was actually the one that found it and bought it. I "borrowed" it, and I can "keep it as long as I like," but it's "not yours!" Lol.
Shit, I feel bad about this, but I guess an emergency is an emergency.......... Apparently my dad, who suffers from hepatitus C is going in for a surgical liver biopsy today. I COMPLETELY forgot about it! I just got a call now from my mom asking me what time I was planning to head out there? They're in Sacramento and I guess the biopsy is around noon time so I gotta jet outta here and accompany my mom in the waiting room and perhaps my dad during the procedure. Crap crap crap crap crap! I am so so so sorry. (Jeez! I hate when I'm made to look like a flake by my own stupidity, i.e. forgetting the date of the biopsy!) Darn it. Well, I hope you guys can forgive me and I sure hope you have a fun time. If I were you, I'd stay away from the Big Dipper (big, wooden, white and red)... None of the locals will ride it anymore. It's soooo old! It's been there for like thirty years, lol, so, yeah... Just givin' you the heads up about possible reduced safety on that ride. It's fun as hell though, and if you only go once, the odds of it derailing on that particular train go-around seem mighty slim. I hope you guys have an exhilarating time! Try to take some pictures. Oh, and one last thing from a local.......... About the beach... We're having ecological changes in the bay and it's drawn in a ridiculous amount of white sharks. They love sandy beaches like Cowell's beach (that is, right next to the boardwalk). In fact, Cowell's is one of the higher risk areas even when we aren't having sea lion overpopulation (what's drawn them in). So, uh, yeah... Don't go swimming unless you head down to 41st Ave in Capitola and go out in the kelp bed... Hardly anything big swims in there for fear of getting tangled up and it also has a great surf lineup.
