Before I Go Grey

My trial membership is just about up. It's going to end in the next day or two, I think. Since I'm unemployed, I can't justify the expense to renew right now. So, so long. I may be back. I may not. frown

More Infrared Dreck

I went out yesterday with my $25 digital camera and took some shots with a makeshift IR filter made from a single layer of exposed Ecktachrome slide film. They turned out pretty good, I think.

Bad

I've been really bad at writing in here and bad at leaving comments and generally bad at behaving like a normal human being lately. I also have little enthusiasm for SG these days. Even pictures of naked woman bore me. I rarely even come here anymore. (I guess that pun was intended. Sure, why not.)

Bad Camera

I like cheap cameras (mainly because I can't afford expensive ones). Images produced with cheap cameras can often be quite strange.

Yesterday I bought my third digital camera for a whopping $20. The pictures this camera produces are less distorted than my $25 digital camera, but they come out looking like paintings, especially if heavily filtered. I took some shots with a makeshift...

Blah, Part II

I'm still alive! Well, just barely. I don't have any energy or enthusiasm these days. I'm going to try and start posting more actual entries here.

Turkeys!

This morning, for the first time ever, I saw wild turkey chicks. I've always wondered why I never saw any chicks with the big turkeys.

They were shot with my cheap digital camera through my binoculars. Hand-held, too. The quality's not great, but I was surprised at how well they turned out consideing how they were shot.
