More freaking delays. mad

Plane from Toronto delayed due to dickhead passengers who hadn't a clue. Missed my connection in Amsterdam, caught the next flight out and got held up before landing at Heathrow and then got held up for fudging ages because another plane was using the stand designated to my flight.

....but I'm home now, have had a cup of tea and have opened...

Wise words, spoken innocuously enough. Some INCREDIBLY tetchy people on here. So much for the rad alternatives. I personally object to the over-use of eye-liner and the staring-over-the-shoulder pose. But My Good Lady Wife has suggested I try rouge and possibly a cute little upward pout instead.
zombieelvis:
Bitch!

My god I love you.

Delayed again but this time I got an upgrade on the next train, much to the disgust of the lady at the ticket counter. I guess I don't have the look of a first class passenger.

Only for the first time has "The Passenger" entered my head.

.....I am the passenger and I ride and I ride.....

smile

Well it's all but over, except tonight and...

in regards to your board topic about the quality of the sets (i wasn't in the mood to get my ass kicked in that board so i'm posting here)- i agree with you. as an artist/designer/photographer/creative type, i constantly strive to put my best foot forward always- which means presenting clean, professional work, always. the amateurish sets bug me. i guess, as everyone was saying, that it's a taste thing. to each his(her) own, i suppose.

Back on the rails again today (or should that be off the rails? - no!) All I have to do is make my connection for Toronto at Montreal to get me in Sunday then catch my flight on Monday. An hour or so's difference between trains so not a lot of room for delays. It shall be interesting.

Well it will be for me, I...

Out and about in snow strewn Halifax today and I have to say that of all the places I've been so far in Canada it's the one I'd most want to stay in. Of course I've only been here one night and part of a day so it's charm may wear off but I really like all the clapboard houses. Lots of character amongst the...

Just got into Halifax after a 4 and a half hour delay, including a 3 hour+ bus ride. Everything looks closed and may well be closed tomorrow due to a snow storm due.

....and what is it with Canadians not walking up or down escalators? I know escalators move but in London we have a convention. If you want to stand then you do so on the right hand side so that those who wish to walk can do so on the left. People here, more than anywhere else I've been (noticed) will stand all the way till the escalator almost throws them off.

Please explain.

Visited the Montreal Holocaust Museum and Science Museum today, would say the Holocaust one was better unless you're taking kids in which case the Science one would probably be more their cup of tea. Also took a look in the Notra Dame Bascilica. $4 to go into a church (I seem to remember something about the overturning of tables). Impressive though (Catholic so what would...

Hello hello!!

I went to the Holocaust Museum in DC, it was really good.

4 dollars to get into a church? Those bastards!

Everytime you write something in my journal, you make me laugh!

glad to hear you're having a good time here! strangely enough, both the holocause and science museums would interest me, yet i've never been!

Ok, update on yesterday. Found Tattooage on Rue Centre and got a print by William Blake done instead of the Native piece I originally intended. Turned up the Blake when researching the Native piece and knew I had to get that done as the start of a sleeve. I know how I want it to continue over the shoulder but not clear yet as to...

Sunny Montreal, where they only have one library, apparently. Guess Montrealians don't read much. First impressions...............ok so far, I guess. Surly, unhelpful hostel staff or that may just have been me after getting off another overnight train ride, finding I can't check in till 13:00 and it costing me $2 to stash my rucksack. Hopefully that will improe when I go back to check in...

My mate at work is filling in the forms to emigrate out to Canada.
I guess its the great country, combined with the lack of a language barrier.

Am going to be without net access again for a few days. Am leaving sunny Winnipeg and heading East.

The NHL season is no more, apparently that is news.

At the mall today, shot a Glock 9mm, hit the target, didn't run screaming into the streets shooting people. Got accosted by a pleasant alcoholic lady.

Finally arrived in Edmonton, colder than Van but not as cold as it was. On the crap journey into town I'd already summed the place up in four words "Give it a miss" Looking forward to getting the train out on Monday. Hopefully there wont be over two hours delay next time round. Better not be a big delay next week when I've to make...
