Overall, this is one of the best Marvel movies to come out since Endgame. It ties together some loose plot threads from Captain Marvel’s previous outings, WandaVision, & Ms. Marvel. It also does a good job of addressing the “Superman Problem” - namely the problem of making a story feel like it challenges the character who can brute-force most situations.

Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeaux)...

To start off, this was a great movie. The cast was top notch and everyone was committed to their parts. Greta Gerwig does an amazing job of writing & directing. The story was wonderful & went to some interesting places.

I’d love to say more, but I’m going to take a cue from the marketing for this movie (who got it right for once)...

First things first, this is a long movie. 3 hours + trailers. I had to step out for a quick bathroom break around the 2 hour mark…fortunately I didn’t miss anything critical.

The thing that stands out most to me about this film is the cast. Christopher Nolan assembled an amazing cast. Every character is nuanced, complex, and flawed. Cillian Murphy does a fantastic...

If you’ve seen Bert Kreischer‘a stand-up routine, you’ve seen 75% of this movie already. It had some good moments & a few belly laughs, but overall it was pretty forgettable. Mark Hamill was great as his dad & really elevated some of the scenes.

If you’ve got nothing going on & someone else is buying the tickets, then go see it, otherwise skip it.

This was a fun movie & with very few exceptions they stuck to the rule of ‘Show, Don’t Tell’.

The cast all seemed to be having fun with their roles. Chris Pine was your archetypical smooth talking Bard Edgin. Michelle Rodriguez was having fun kicking all the ass as the Barbarian Holga. Justice Smith had a fun arc as a Simon the wild magic...

Overall Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania was an enjoyable movie…it just wasn’t outstanding either.

Paul Rudd & the rest of the cast were good, the story was (mostly good), & there were some really memorable scenes. That being said you can tell two things: 1) This movie was shot during lockdown & 2) The studio had some things they needed to set up, organically...

This was a very fun movie and it is almost solely because of Saoirse Ronan. She is absolutely delightful as the very earnest Police Constable Stalker. Sam Rockwell (Inspector Stoppard) is paired up with her to investigate the murder of a film director trying adapt Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap in1950s London. They play off each other wonderfully - each helping the other’s jokes to...

This was a Very entertaining movie with a Great cast. I laughed A LOT. There were more than a few actors that I hadn’t seen recently, which was nice to see - one of the ‘twins’ I’m ashamed to admit it took me a fair bit of the film before I could put a name to his face.

The best summary I can come...

This was a fun movie, but there were parts that were a bit too silly as well as a few jokes that got overplayed. That being said, it was still way better than Thor: The Dark World.

I enjoyed The Mighty Thor/Dr. Jane Foster’s arc in the film. It didn’t feel forced & she was part of the story instead of being on the...

First off, I really enjoyed this movie - the story is pretty tight & the actors all brought their A game. This is a good Sam Raimi movie - he throws in some of his trademark visual elements, but nothing over the top, it’s a lot like Spider-man 2 in that regard. There are some really inventive fight scenes & the visual storytelling does...

This a weird film…but in a good way. You’re going to wonder what you’ve gotten yourself into within the first 15 minutes, but bear with it. The payoff is worth it

It’s a challenging film to review because even a high-level summary the story gives too much away. The trailer gives too much away TBH. There are definite similarities to the 2001 Jet Li...

This is the third of the standalone MCU Spider-Man movies with Tom Holland and it picks up immediately after the end of the last film (Far From Home).

This film has a lot of cameos - A Lot. Depending on how many of the previous Spider-Man films you’ve watched over the years, some of them may be more impactful than others. There are quite...
