My little boy is so beautiful. Everyone who sees him says he's adorable so i know its not just my adoring mommy hormones.
Hes already so smart and quirky and makes me smile and laugh so much. Hes so mellow and sweet. I think letting him take his time and be born as naturally and gently as possible helped calm his rambunctious streak that he seemed to have as he was kicking the shit out of my belly.

We've been at the childrens hospital since 3pm tuesday. Its been the longest 3 days of my life. I cant imagine how other moms who's little ones have worse problems at such a young age can handle doing this for weeks.

He has jaundice and it was bad enough that his pediatrician sent us to the hospital for photo therapy.
He hates laying in the box in nothing but a diaper and wearing the stupid paper bandage on his eyes. He has and IV in the back of his tiny hand and a splint board taped to his arm so he cant pull it out.
Ive barely slept 7 hours all together in the past 3 nights.
Hes up most of the night and i cant just nurse him and tuck him in bed with me like i can when he wont sleepvat home. I have to stay up and try not to drop him or pull my hair out from exhaustion until he falls asleep so i can put him back in the lights.
Theres a good chance we can go home tommorow. He'll have another blood test at 7am to see if enough gunk is out of his blood. We only have to have it go down 3.4 points but all day today it only went down .2 points so im really really hoping its not going to keep going that slowly.
I really need to sleep and be home to take better care of my baby.

Are you home yet? Jack was under the lights and on a blanket when he was in the NICU. He was always hitting himself with the board from the IV. I was in the hospital for a total of 11 days with no real sleep. I feel your pain!
