I might have an opportunity to work in Jamaica as an Oracle DBA for an hourly rate that's double what I'm used to billing. And because it's off shore, there are plenty of ways to shield that money from the IRS. It's a year contract renewable, but it would require me to live in Kingston, Jamaica. My wife got excited about the extra money, but obviously is concerned about me being away.

I wonder if I could keep them there with me, or have them visit me a lot. I know I'd be flying home every other weekend to see them.

I'll know whether or not I have a serious shot at this by next week.
