So, I finally caught the cold that has been going around the waitstaff for two weeks. Rat bastards, giving me their cold! grrr. I'm going to give it back to them.
On my two days off, I was nursing a cold; which is a fine way to relax after a 12 day stretch don't you think. I did rent some movies and finished Henderson the Rain King, by Saul Bellows (excellent book!). I'm hitting Prozac Nation now. I'm not sure if I'm ready to read about someone else's depression, then again, it may snap me out of mine.
In other news, my mum is flying here March 6th, so any attempts to take the trip to Paris is out. sigh. It will be great to see mum though.
You may be asking yourself, what is this image... why I'll tell you... it's a start of a graphic comic by none other than Creative Slacker. Yup that's right, I might as well do something other than wait tables. I will share more as the adventure unfolds. Right now, my nose has oozed off my face and I must pick my throat off the dirty floor. I will comment in journals as soon as I am able to stop stuffing tissues up my nose.

Ps. happy unvalentine's day -I was tempted to buy some of that delicious candy that is now 50% off... even if it does come in stupid heart shapes... damn it. BAH LOVE... BAH HUMBUG.
