So what's up with the whole cutting thing? why do people do it and how does it make people feel? does it release them from something else, does it make you feel physical pain instead of mental pain?
Hmmmm... maybe it is time for an experiment to see what the hype is all about. maybe if I understand it better by experience i won't condone it so much....

it's diffrent for diffrent people, but generally the idea is that it either makes you feel something (so you know you're alive) or it makes you concentrate on a pain that you can control (as opposed to mental anguish that you can't)

that has been my take on it anyway- i don't really recommend it though, unless you like all the scars (i'm a recovering cutter, and i don't love my scars anymore)
