Yes, I am one of those women who travel alone. You see me at restaurants eating alone, perhaps enjoying a book or watching the game. I am also one of those single ladies that goes to the movie theater alone.

And tonight, Spiderman 3 was absolutely fantastic.

Last week was the two year anniversary of a life changing event. Absolutely the most difficult decision of my life. One that I knew had to happen for my own happiness, but I do regret causing the pain to someone I love. That sparked a series of events that have led me to Colorado and a completely different life. I never would have guessed that...

I had a splendid day off today. Got up. Went for a hike. Came home and had oatmeal for breakfast. Went to the gym for a quick cardio workout. Saw cute guy staring (either admiring my fabulous physique or wondering why I wasn't working out harder; I like to think it's the first). Ran some errands. Had lunch. Laid topless in the sun daydreaming about...

So...modern dance...what's the deal? Am I just an uncultured boob who can't appreciate it? Saw my first performance last night and I was not at all impressed. The dancers flow around the stage, doing sommersaults and all that junk. It's not even to the rhythm of the music. The men wear skirts too so they flow as well. It's pretty to watch, but I just...

don't worry about missing out on the whole culture aspect. i'm sure those events are enjoyable, but a society reaching for more culture just segregates us more.

Meeting new people sucks. Being relatively "new" to Colorado, I'm having to start all over in the friend-making department (as well as the eternal search for the wonderous significant other). It takes so much energy, especially for little old introverted me.

Meeting potential romantic interests online is the worst of my experiences so far...80% of the time, I waste my time and energy having coffee...

I am on the fence about blogs. Are they a way to honestly speak your mind? A nice format that you can candidly express yourself without worrying what the reprecussions. You know, where you can talk about the weather or your emotions or how much you like that cute boy in geometry.

Or are they a medium so that you can tell people what you...

My new favorite food is oatmeal. I always thought it was too mushy in the past, but if you prepare it correctly then it actually tastes good. Now, some people may love the mushy texture, but I prefer mine a little hearty with something to chew on. It has definitely become my new favorite breakfast.

On a side note, I biked another 9 miles this...

Why don't things ever happen like they do in movies? Why can't I get a happy ending (of the non-pervy kind; although those are nice too), just once? We grow up watching movies, not even realizing we have been lied to the whole time. Frankly, it pisses me off to see such shit in movies time and time again when real life never follows suit....

Don't even get me started on how tv commercials mislead you into thinking sausages, deodorant and a new ab shaper open the gates of Heaven. Those liars.

I still prefer series (preferrably with demons and chicks with superpowers) to movies... at least you can find those on TV for free.

But hey, someday maybe, you'll get your happy ending.
crazygrrl:
Oh gosh...definitely anyone with superpowers. *drool* They've always got a home in my bed. smile I've always been one of those comic book nerds.

I have less than stellar luck in life. Just when I get some good stuff going, life kicks me.

Today, a job interview, followed by a completely flat tire. What happened? It was full when I went inside the building...when I came out...flat as a pre-teens chest. I thought I was getting ahead financially, but now this setback. Bah. The frustration sets in.

I know...

I don't mean to suggest that I'm laughing at your misfortune, but that is one great simile for a flat tire! biggrin You made me laugh out loud.

Getting the tire off is always a tough part in changing a flat. The last flat I had to change was last year on my Dad's tralier when it went flat at the dump. That ancient trailer's bolts felt like they were welded to the frame and then after I got them off, the tire felt pretty well the same. At least I had leverage with the bolts; not so with the tire. It took me forever. Plus, it stinks at the dump. I can certainly relate to your frustration. mad
