Today I think i'm going to eat some cereal. yep, big bowl of cereal. And some juice. Then I'll go to work for a while, come back home and start running errands. Then fall asleep in front of the redsox game.
re: fireworks: i like them. they're pretty and sparkly!

where's your sense of romance?
(okay, so in the rain with my buddies they weren't so romantic, exactly. a nice warm shoulder to cuddle into would have been lovely. but they were still sparkly!)
Does anybody else make it a point to NOT watch fireworks on the 4th of July? One good thing about this holiday is that I know where all the hordes of people will be assembled at once so I can abscond safely to a pleasantly peaceful pond or brook. I can't remember the last time I went to see fireworks on this holiday, which really... Read More
Today, the world literally kicked dirt and rocks in my face. Oh how many vile dastards will cry with face in hands as I stand tall and proud despite them.
are you still free to do something sunday? i'm going sailing (for the first time ever, YAY) in the early afternoon but i'm free in the evening and i'd be up for a brief little NH roadtrip. lemme know.
Yesterday was ultimate frisbee. This is in my top 5 of all time favorite activities, right up there with hiking, playing guitar, sleeping, and makin' love. I made what was possibly the best catch of my life, flying paralell to the turf at full speed, and skidding about 10 feet through the grass before coming to the stop with the disc.
I completely believe that throwing a frisbee is something everyone can do...it's just that until you get the hang of it, it is so frustrating. I mean imagine throwing a tennis ball to someone 20 meters away and it ends up landing in the forest or a nearby river.
No matter how you try to throw it the basics remain the same: 1) keep the frisbee level to the ground as you throw. 2) step towards your target as you throw with whichever foot feels more comfortable. 3) refrain from trying to throw the frisbee too hard, or wildly swinging your arm, the key to a successful throw is the flick of the wrist and the follow-through. Much like shooting a basketball. 4) After releasing the disc, you should be pointing directly at your target...this ensures optimum accuracy.
I hope that helps Jen and Nnumbe, and anyone else that might like to take up frisbee as a relaxing hobby.
Well, I'm back. For those of you who may have noticed...it's been like 2 months since I've been on this sight. I feel like I should blog about something.
What have you all missed...first I got deathly ill, then I had to move...then it took comcast about 6 weeks to get out here and hook me up. Also I finally finished this semester which was... Read More
