I have to wonder if anybody else from the site showed up at the Ottobar on Friday... it was so crowded I could hardly find anybody I had already met. I can't imagine tracking down somebody based on a grainy digital camera pic...

But it was fun. As per usual, I took too much advantage of the cheap drinks in Baltimore. If I lived there...

The sad thing is that sometimes, as a woman, i get to a point where ANY random guy who talks to me becomes "that guy", just because i don't WANT to be picked up or flirted with. It's sad but true...in settings like a club I'm pretty much suspicious of anyone that I don't know.

Monkeys Monkeys Monkeys!

I start work tomorrow at 4PM. Let's see how long it takes me to get fired for gross incompetence!

I've fallen so far behind in this NaNoWriMo thing... four full days behind schedule... there's no way I'll have 50,000 words written by the end of the month.

I ate two dinners because my housemates insisted I join them in going to a...

Yesterday evening I went back to the book store to take a test. It was mainly 'have you ever stolen from your employer?' and 'do you think it's ok to steal from an employer?' and other stuff that I answered honestly... cos I'm an honest guy and besides I've never had the OPPORTUNITY to steal from an employer really... not that I would. I'm so...

Any time you see me posting or updating or writing anything on this site (or any other) it is a sign that I'm procrastinating.

I was completely high last night thinking to myself "I'm writing a motherfucking novel!" I wonder how long before the high succumbs to mental/emotional exhaustion and writer's block...

I'm on target for my word count already. I'm going to try to...

1) Last night was the Art-O-Matic opening. I dressed as an Enron energy trader (shirt and tie with an Enron logo taped to the shirt-- it was last-mintue) and got lost for three hours trying to find the place. Then we missed the last train home and had to get a ride to the place my friend is housesitting with a guy dressed as a...

Good luck with said interview.

I'm mostly cocooning today, with a little refreshing interaction with friends, hopefully.

Last night I went to dinner with a former housemate and some other friends to celebrate the fact that she didn't get a job. Apparently she applied for it, then decided she didn't really want it. So she learned they hired somebody from outside and we went to dinner to celebrate.

I love how weird my friends are.

After dinner, some of us went to...

I keep on forgetting to mention... some point last week my downstairs neighbor knocked on the door and told me that we were leaking into her apartment. She looked around and discovered our hot water heater was leaking. So we had to turn it off while we waited for the landlord to send someone to fix it...

And waited...

And waited...

He was supposed to...

Back when I was sure i was a lesbian, someone asked me what was good about boys and the only thing I could think to say was "they'll reach things on the top shelf for you?"

Yesterday was a really great day. I slept until about noon, then remembered that there was an anti-war protest going on downtown. I logged on and checked the schedule: starting at 11 and going to the White House. So I headed to the White House.

At 1:30 nobody was there, so I waited and waited and began to get a bit disheartened. Then at 3...

Isn't it weird when people suggest that you must be depressed when you don't go out much? I have this conversation at least once a month with at least one concerned individual:

concerned person: you don't leave your room very often...usually not more than twice a week, unless you count classes. You must be depressed.

me: i AM? I don't feel depressed. I feel happy!

person: well, you don't leave your room, so therefore you MUST be unhappy.

me: oh, okay (goes back to surfing SG)

I finally saw "Secretary" on Saturday. I thought it dragged a bit toward the end, but I didn't mind terribly. Undeniably one of the hottest mainstream movies I've seen in quite a while... and I was honestly wondering if they'd somehow gotten Corey Feldman to play Peter. The resemblance was uncanny.

I flaked out on getting tickets for last night's Sleater-Kinney show, and of course...

Yeah, I rarely hold grudges, but there are definately people I avoid because i just don't think they're my type (or rather i can tell they are kind of the opposite of my type)

I've really been slacking for the past year, but there's hope that I might be getting my act together. Like yesterday.

Yesterday I finally called to get an appointment to get my car fixed, I finally got health insurance to replace my (increasingly expensive) COBRA, I finally Emailed a few places about doing volunteer work (to get me out of the apartment on a semi-reguular...

Well, now I'm just the sad because I apparently live on the wrong coast! Actually, I might be going to Philly so at least I'll get to meet Morgan at some point.

Crazy weekend here. On Friday I saw Cinerama. I was kinda hoping to run into a college acquaintance I recently learned lives in DC, who is the biggest Wedding Present fan I ever...

Wait... what's that? A tug on the line?

Wow! What a haul! This fishing for compliments thing REALLY WORKS!

Heehee...

I recognize (or have been forced to realize in the last few years) that I'm not actually hideously deformed and frightful to look upon, but all the same that really is a good picture of me. I have to remember who took it and thank them some time...

Ill reply too- consider me applied! Especially if Jess is part of this!
