One year ago today my mom passed away and I made the decision to donate what organs could be given to those who needed it. She laid in ICU (thankfully painless) for 3 days. Her kidneys were donated to a person in their 60s and several parts of her body donated to Science Care. An organization that takes body parts and organs that go to research institutions and medical schools. If her tragic death could help millions of people in the long run, she’d want that. She had it rough in the last ten even 20 years, but I think I got my resilience from her.
