Hello Friends
So, I’ve had a very rough week, potentially the roughest, physically, psychologically, and emotionally in my entire life. I woke up last Sunday with very bad abdominal pain. I wanted to wait to see if it would pass, when it hadn’t passed by that evening, I was taken to the Emergency Room where they found I had a 101 degree temperature and a possible blockage in my intestines. By that time I was on heavy doses of morphine. Day 2 comes around and an hour after my labs were taken because my Potassium levels were at critical levels. I had to receive 2 massive potassium infusions. Which last 2-3 hours burn very bad going in….By day two, I began hallucinating and having paranoid delusions, as well as nightmares. I got out a few days ago and it all has subsided.
One thing I have to say is how much I love and respect anyone in the medical/nursing field. Amazing people they are!
