I must get a ticket fot the Yeah Yeah Yeahs concert in Omaha.
The local rock station, The River, rules. And here's the real awesome part, it's public radio! That right. It'd be so easy for them to be NPR, but instead support local acts, promote rising stars (including 311 before they went national, Blue October, Fall Out Boy), and are pretty much single handedy responsible for drawing big names to Omaha. Concets have been know to sell out the day tickets are available because of their promotion. All of this is done from a community college radio studio, mostly staffed by students including 2 of the DJs. They also do a fundraiser only one week a year to pay tower rental.
Some cracker pun-ishment at ill will press. Foamy!
