I bought The Hammer Horror Collection. It contains six films featuring either Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, or both. I watched the three Dracula films and loved them all. I can't believe how remarkable they appear after nearly four decades. It's amazing what DVD can do.

The new roommate moved in. No troubles so far. He seems to keep to himself even more than I do,...

Hey there,
Yes, that Hammer Collection from Warner is great. They did an awesome job on the transfers.

Yes, I have tons of films... lots of lasers (around 1000) and around 2000 DVDs...and i can't even guess on VHS. I do have a lot of early Criterion laser which someday i hope to transfer to DVD...because some lasers do, eventually, rot....and i hope DVDs don't do that some day.

There aren't a lot of sites devoted to TOMIE. It's not that well known here although the mangas were released here. There is a website called, i think, Lady Snowblood, which had a review...my computer crashed awhile back and i lost all my weblinks or I would have sent you the link. The series is not as awesome as Ringu (or the video version of Ju-on), but it's well done.

take care!

no, my list on titles isn't anywhere.... i use to keep a list...many years ago of the VHS, Beta and Lasers...and maybe during the beginning of DVD, but i stopped...it was so hard to keep track of eveything....and it was before i had a computer so it was all on binder paper.
i don't have the energy to start a new one smile

The roommates are gone. The summer roommate should be moving in sometime tomorrow. I hope that turns out okay, or it's going to be a long three months. Beyond that, I have a few days to kill before I begin my summer coursework.

Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs is the best song I've heard in a long time. Love the video.

I watched Haxan:...

hey,

TOMIE is based on a Japanese manga - from the writer of Uzumaki - it's pretty cool. It's about a girl who will not die...she seduces men who are slowly driven crazy...and then they kill her...but she comes back smile
The second film, TOMIE: REPLAY and the third, TOMIE: REBIRTH are the best out of the five film series. The label I am running is called Adness. We are also releasing a bunch of Sonny Chiba films too and more horror on the way.

Well i better get back to work smile
Take care,
Cliff

Finals are over. I don't think I did as well on them as I would have liked to. At least I can relax, though, and I seem to be able to sleep again. That's always nice.

The French guy moved out today. One more pain in the ass roommate to go and then the place is mine. I can't wait. The good roommate is heading...

Hi there!
I couldn't sleep, so lets talk about movies.

First of all, talking about the Ring, I'm refering to the Japanese. Not the American remake (which was unexpectedly good btw).

Spok? Uh. Don't worry about that! wink

Well, The movie is called ju-on: the curse (I knew I was wrong).

What do I think about Frank? Well I actually believe that Frank is the less important character of all. or to be more exact, Frank in no more important than anybody else in this story. He is the mechanism Donnie Darko's mind uses to save his gf and family. I think that the whole thing is just a mind game, that DD is playing with himself.
What is your opinion on that?

P.S: How can send e-mail from here? I couldn't found how.

SG was down tonight. I'm glad it's back.

The semester is almost over. The two stupid roommates will be moving out by the end of the week. I'm thinking they'll trash the place maybe three more times before they leave. I don't like those guys. They're loud, annoying, and have no regard for anyone else living here. The good roommate will be returning in the...

"I really liked TCM 2003, almost as much as I liked Dawn of the Dead 2004. There was a time not so long ago when remakes seemed doomed from the start, but things have been looking really good since The Ring. The horror genre is notorious for its short lived trends, though, so I think it's only a matter of time before the remakes start to tire out."

i agree wholeheartedly.

btw. thanks.

I gave Ninja Gaiden another try today. I'm loving it. It's a bit difficult, but I'm progressing nicely and hope to conquer it sometime soon. It's a great game, really. Anybody with an Xbox and a burning desire to kill things should pick it up.

No Doubt and Blink 182 are touring this summer. I'm not so much into Blink 182, but I'd like to...

tx chainsaw massacre 2003 was suprisingly pretty good. while there is always the fundamental questions, did it need to be remade? did it bring anything new to the story? overall though, i thought they did a pretty good job. what did you think?

p.s. sucks about your credit card

I'm back to SG. Happy. smile

It's almost finals week. I really, really hope I don't fail anything. It's certainly possible. There's this one class of about 200 that I never go to. It's huge, and the instructor probably doesn't get to know any of the students. I passed him in the hall today, and it was absolutely chilling. He just gave me this mean look....
