baka_amerikanjin:
No worries... In spring of '02 I started to develop mild hand tremors and was battling depression. I was in my final semester of college and when I saw a doctor about it, they chalked it up to stress and anxiety. I saw another doctor in August of that year who came to the same conclusion. The tremors were gradually growing worse, but bad things kept happening to me so I kept thinking it was stress. Then in like March of '03 I finally had my life sorted out, but instead of getting better, the shakes got worse and started to really impair my ability to perform tasks. I saw another doctor who ordered an MRI which revealed non-specific abnormalities in the movement areas of my brain. So, I began a long diagnostic process. I went on disability in May of '03 because I was a physical and emotional wreck. I finally got a diagnosis in June that I had Wilson's disease. It's a rare genetic liver disorder which prevents my liver from processing copper. Instead the body stores it in various body tissues. Symptoms can include tremors, depression, behavioral disorders, cirrhosis etc. Most people become symptomatic in their 20s. The condition is highly treatable if caught early. Fortunately my tremors showed before my liver was damaged. So, I started taking meds that bond with the copper and flush it from my system. The meds often make symptoms worse before they get better. I continued to get worse until winter of '03 and have been improving ever since. It's hard to say if the shakes will go away entirely, but any improvement is a step in the right direction. There you have it... and that's the short version.

I just finished reading Art Spiegelman's Maus. And it's after immersing myself in a tale like that, that my problems in life seem pretty damn petty. I bitch and moan about how I'm too old to be where I am in llfe or how Nintendo doesn't makes games like they used to or how my co-worker "must have had...

Do you mean emo?
Is that good or bad?

Either way it's intnentional. I thought maybe we discussed this but things are a little hazy right now. I admitted to journal stalking you?

Zinged indeed.

Look at what I'm wearing right now:

I like it.
Not for your reason, though.
There's a JS I'm in love with.

That's twice now. I should go post that line in everyone's jounrals.

Why do I love my job? Because it's the only place on earth where you can overhear conversations like this:

DIPSHIT McFUCKYBUTT, moron barista: Hey, guess what!

RANDOM PERSON, hapless: What now, Dippy?

DM: Until 3 days ago, I didn't know what a sequin was!

RP: (head explodes.)

In addition, it's the only place you can witness the charming MrDeity drink an entire quart of...

Turns out they didn't need the paperwork after all. All the information they needed I gave them over the phone in my initial phone call. So by the time I was angry enough to call them and bitch them out it had already been taken care of.

Four things:

1) Strong Bad has a new computer -- the totally sweet Lappy 486!

2) I've posted this before, but the time of year is a little more appropriate now, so if you want some holiday cheer go -- never mind -- the website is down. I don't think Moxy Fruvous is ever getting back together (sob, sniff)...

3)...

So Dipshit McBuckyfutt tales aside, life continues to be fun and exciting. I suppose I should be grateful that there is idiocy all around me -- it will certainly make for plenty of material should I ever decide to write a book devoted exclusively to the subject of morons.

Tonight I went to my friend Sam's house. What was supposed to be an evening devoted...

** SOME MORE TALES OF DIPSHIT McFUCKYBUTT, the MORON BARISTA **

One day, Dippy found himself in a storewide meeting. Surrounded by folks of superior (read: normal) intelligence, he found himself at a loss -- since his peers were asking relevant questions about various topics, such as store operation, espresso preparation, wholesale accounts, and other delights. As the magical fairy manager doled out positive reinforcement...

Berke is one of my heroes. His work heavily influenced my artistic style. In high school I had a regular comic strip in the school paper that was highly derivative of Bloom County.

This is true. Rednecks also don't usually take particularly well to skinny long-hairs. Especially when said skinny long-hairs are initiating conversations about the redneck's deficient cock size.

Got my sis Curb Your Enthusiasm season 1 for her birthday. YOU should watch that show because it is funny and uncomfortable -- kind of like a wedgie for your senses. Except that's it's a TV show and not underwear in your buttcrack.

My friend Sam saw me at trivia and was like, "YOu...

She used to have a clip from her song "Don't be afraid" that played automatically when you opened the music page. It went:

Don't beeeeeeeeeee a-fraid! followed by these synthesized Jaws chords.

The scariest thing is that there are certain people in L.A. who take her seriously.

Thanks again to all who made Trivia NIght 3 a rousing success! While not as packed as last time, we still had enough folks there to spark some bitchin' competition.

take the word weird and replace the r with a w and the d with a b.

you get weiwb.

doesn't that sound cute? but to make it a little extra cuter, add an "ie" to the end:

voila! weiwbie!!!!!
panacea:
for me it's:

n's for m's
b's for d's
w's for r's

plus i say things coach z style all the time you know like jorb. so i randomly throw "or" into the morddle of words too.

sormtormes it's just plain hord to tork.
