Whats up with faith lately? For the past few months, I keep on hearing faith used in the media. Firstly, I think its entirely wrong for the word faith to be hijacked by religion, to where atheists as myself are viewed upon as not people of faith when in fact we are people of faith except when it comes to existential matters of divinity. Secondly, and more to the point, I wonder why now? Sure, there was easter (when this Faith in America media tour began), around the same time of the Terry Shiavo case (Out of sheer compassion Im glad a brain dead woman was allowed to die), and then the death of the pope (lower case). But why the continued obsession? Do Christians really need to be reminded what or why they believe?

Right now there is a movie coming out about the Crusades and, I sadly suspect, in a positive perspective. Will it be a catagorical condemnation of what the Christians did? The possibility exists only in fantasy. If it or any film did, the film would flop.

Right now I can not stop thinking about how my left arm is wrapped in bandages underneath of which are the highly anticipated tattoos I had inked today, and how I must wait until the morning to unravel. I know taking off the bandages is medically fine considering Ive done this before, but who wants to leave a tattoo imprint on their bedsheets? Sometimes impulses are too overwhelming to control so I best go to bed, for the first time in 36 hours, before I go wild.
