Inspired by a certain someone's and their certain someone's new tattoos ( wink ) the theme of this journal is "who are the people in your neighbourhood?"

(and I will never say blog)

Thankyou's to Phantasy, Plain_Jane and LovemyWay for nice things like fairy tins, dinner and roller derby.

This is hanging on the fence of a school near my work. It makes me think that...

I watched "No country for old men" last night but I may have been too tired to appreciate its rambling end. Or maybe I think the ending was mighty pretentious and wrecked an otherwise enjoyable film.

I also watched Heathers.

"I don't patronise bunny rabbits"

Where can you buy nice-looking odd-size bras from? Other than from dodgy internet sites and ebay sellers that offer blurry...

I had a nice weekend smile

I went to the Royal Adelaide Show with Plain_Jane (thankyou gorgeous lady!) and we had a good time buying socks (stripey knee highs!) a Happy Tree Friends tee for my son, watching the tent-pegging and looking at dogs cats and BUNNY RABBITS!! love

We did plan on going on the Ferris Wheel...but I chickened because I had nightmarish visions of the...

I'm trying to be brave smile Going to work and being around kids really helps brighten your spirits! To be honest the most heart-wrenching part is that I thought I'd have my childhood wish of having a partner and a family young, but yet again I've been messed around by a bloke.
But as Lexiphanic said, as one door closes another opens... and that life path was obviously not meant for me (at least now!)
phantasy:
And now it's raining! I do love the rain though. biggrin

You're right, the feeling of being there is very otherworldly - by far the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Those pictures don't even come close to doing it justice. If you look at my two previous blogs you can see some more photos from my travels.

Haha I like the goat thread idea! Baby goats are better than kittens any day biggrin Start it!

I thought of you too, and ate vegetarian pizza! kiss

Soooooo excited now!!! We probably won't be able to stop in Adelaide (we are driving from Alice to VH in one hit) on the way through. But we will come back to Adelaide, probably after a week or two to catch up with everyone.

What a quiet, lazy week!

I did nothing!

I haven't done that in a long time!

I tried to do some things...but I failed!

Oh, ok. I did manage to shower once a day and occasionally go shopping. And I ate too!

No pics! biggrin

I used to hate the idea of getting script of any sort tattooed in the same way...

I had a lazy week last week. Sadly, this week is looking less lazy. shocked

Yes, it is no worries. Whose worried? Not me! smile

Do you have Labyrinth on DVD?

What a busy, tiring fucking week!!

But kinda fun too... smile

I visited my extra special lady friend at VH on Wednesday to hound her about what's actually wrong with her. Basically I can pinpoint the lack of information to a bad case of doctor-vagueness (their fuzzy little heads being just as fuzzy as their handwriting apparently) but for whatever reason she needs her operation and...

I was thinking more along the lines of JPJ's jacket which had the weird Christmas ornaments hanging off it... NO idea why he thought that was a good idea. smile

Yes, I love Jimi. A lot. And his fine clothes. I actually think Janis Joplin had spectacular taste... I'm in a minority though. She was just beautiful in every way, fuck everybody!

I'm thinking of selling my copy of Magic Theatre Oz soon due to a funds shortage, I thought of you when drafting the ebay listing - you and I being the only people who search for psychedelia on eBay smile I wish I was buying it instead of selling it though, much more fun.

Oooh. Have you listened to Sandy Denny, aka Robert's duetrix on The Battle of Evermore? I ask because I'm obsessed with her, is all. smile

He's ok, just more careful with himself than he used to be, which is a shame because he's a genius. Me being me, I can't understand how ANYONE could see him differently to me... I'm still three years old when it comes to relativism. biggrin

I don't want to be one of those people who arrives in middle age regretting everything.

So what is in my control I will grab by the horns and enjoy...as for the stuff that isn't, although it will be missed, it's pointless to want what you have a real chance of NOT getting. So I won't let that rule my life.

And considering that travel...

Good attitude..and good idea re travel..I would love to too..yes money a prob though..and oil..and the guilt of using a resource and creating more of a problem though..ok I admit if I had money I probably would travel

The possum is a junk food addict, therefore his new name is Benjamin Beerbelly Jnr. If I leave out a nice piece of fruit he takes two bites and throws it around like a little kid. If I leave out something that has either honey or peanut butter on it he licks clean patches on the patio cement whatever
So I have compromised and now spread...

Pam des Barres is BRILLIANT! I love I'm With the Band, she's just such a sweethearted dreamer of a woman, it's really kind of inspiring... and it's nice to see that sliding through life on charm and positive energy is very much possible. smile There's a lot of good sociological stuff about groupies out there too, which is kinda more subcultural studies in approach than a sort of anthropological mean-faced judgement thing.

I used to have little ringtail possums living in my gutter but they moved away because it's actually raining lately. frown There's a brushtail which stares voyeuristically into my window at 3am who I quite like but I haven't named him yet. A few years ago Mum noticed that the possums had really moved in because all her roses had been eaten. biggrin Ah, so endearing.

Timelapse is fabulous. Dancing is kinda going slow as I've got the world's worst flu (oh yes) and keeping my balance and moving my limbs is hard. And I managed to break my toe last week! It's ludicrously painful for a second toe. Can't wait to get back into it, but my body seems to be taking its time frown

Ew, sounds like Charles Manson bullshit. I can't understand for the life of me how that's actually something people still seek out and want to follow, I can't fathom it for a second. Exploiting the goodwill and happiness of others, bah. frown

I think I overemoted in this comment, but so be it! Much love to you, hope things are still rolling along brilliantly. xxx
